Step Up To Music Step Up to Music, through a $10,000 grant from the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts, provides FREE music lessons and instruments to young adults who are not able to afford music lessons. The Step Up to Music program provides eight weeks of lessons by professional classically-trained music instructors. Students in the program are loaned a guitar or electric piano for the eight weeks and are then presented with the instrument as a gift at the conclusion of the program if they have worked hard and taken good care of the instrument.
